Description
The Stag IS4P40 Enclosed 4 Pole 40 Amp Isolator is a rotary switch designed to safely isolate AC power from electrical circuits. It is suitable for industrial, commercial, and residential applications where secure disconnection is required.
The IS4P40 provides 4-pole isolation for three-phase and neutral connections. Rated at 40A, it complies with IEC / EN 60947-3 standards. Its robust IP65 polycarbonate enclosure ensures protection against dust and water ingress, suitable for indoor and outdoor installations. The rotary handle is lockable, and the enclosure features multiple gland knockouts for flexible wiring.
Installation
- Ensure the main power supply is turned off before installation.
- Mount the isolator using the external mounting points.
- Confirm the rotary handle is in the OFF position (interlocked lid prevents opening when ON).
- Remove the required gland knockouts (M20 / M25) for cable entry.
- Connect incoming cables to terminals L1, L2, L3, N.
- Connect outgoing cables to terminals T1, T2, T3, N.
- Attach earth wire to the additional earth connection.
- Tighten terminal screws to 2 Nm.
- Close and secure the lid, then rotate the handle to ON to energize.
