The Victron Lynx Smart BMS 500 (M10) is a robust battery management system designed for professional marine, mobile, off-grid, and industrial energy systems. It monitors and protects your lithium battery bank, controls contactors, and provides critical system data for safe and efficient operation.

Advanced Relay & AUX Functionality

The onboard relay can act as an alarm relay or control an alternator via its external regulator. In Alternator ATC mode, the relay activates only when the contactor is closed, ensuring the alternator is safely switched off before the battery disconnects. The AUX terminal provides 1.1 A power for loads like GX devices after the BMS shuts down other loads during low cell voltage events.

Smart Data Communication & Monitoring

VE.Can enables easy integration with GX devices using standard RJ45 cables, based on NMEA 2000 and J1939 protocols for marine systems. Fuse monitoring of up to four Lynx Distributors is supported, allowing real-time alarm notifications via VictronConnect or GX devices.

Parallel Redundancy for Reliable Systems

Multiple Lynx Smart BMS units can be paralleled to form a single redundant battery system, supporting up to five BMS units in one installation. Each unit manages its battery bank independently while ensuring overall system reliability and safety.

Flexible System Integration

The system works with Lynx Distributors, Lithium Smart Batteries, and GX devices like Cerbo GX for monitoring and control. Additional modules can be added for more connections, allowing scalable, professional installations.
