We were contacted by our customer who had just taken delivery of this impressive brand new VW Transporter T6 with a pop top, it had been fully converted.

The campers original electrical setup that was included was basic with a small lead acid battery and split charger. The customer wanted to be able to power electrical items such as a kettle (approx 2000w) and a convection oven with grill (2100w) and so needed an upgrade to his system.  He decided that he wanted a full Victron installation.

We designed the system with all of the latest Victron components allowing it to work perfectly.  It is capable of charging the Lithium leisure battery whilst driving, converting energy from the alternator.

The system also has a 375w flexible solar panel fixed to the pop top roof so the electrical system can run on free green energy from the sun.

The install was going to be a challenge as there was little space to put all of the components in that we specified.

The install was completed by one of our approved partners – Richard Webb from Auto Elec Wiltshire.  Rich commented ‘This was certainly a challenge trying to safely install such a large system into such a small space but we feel it couldn’t have gone any better and the system works great’

Our customer Mario uses his VW Transporter to sometimes live in between shifts as a long distance lorry driver and being able to have as many home comforts was key.
